HUMANITARIAN RELIEF SUPPLY SHIPMENTS UPDATE

Dear Valued Cargo Customer,

Due to the effects of recent hurricanes on the Southeast region of United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, as well as the earthquake in Mexico, many people continue to be in great need of relief supplies. As recently communicated, Delta has provided urgent supplies – including blankets, water, food, and recovery effort supplies – to support our employees, ground handlers and customers in the areas hit hardest. We remain aware many organizations are continuing their coordination efforts of humanitarian shipments that need to be transported and as we are able to increase flight service to affected areas, we are working to accommodate relief supplies on our aircraft.

If you have humanitarian relief shipments to be transported from the United States to the following destinations:  All Delta Cargo locations in Florida, San Juan (SJU), Nassau (NAS), Punta Cana (PUJ), Santiago (STI), Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Mexico City (MEX), Delta Cargo will waive base shipping fees and screening charges for eligible shipments tendered through October 6, 2017; import fees and storage fees will apply where applicable. All shipments to NAS, PUJ, STI, SDQ or MEX must be tendered at one of our following hub locations: ATL, DTW, JFK, LAX, MSP, SEA, or SLC.  At this time, shipments to St. Thomas (STT) and St. Martin (SXM) are not included due to current airport access limitations at these locations.

At booking and tender, please identify the shipment as “Humanitarian Relief” and use special SCR code 9017. This limited waiver only applies to Standard and Dimension products transported on Delta mainline aircraft using 006 AWB stock and is not applicable for Dangerous Goods, Live Animals or shipments which require transport via a codeshare carrier or truck service.  Aircraft capacity and size limits apply.

For additional terms and conditions, please refer to the attached page.

Please contact Delta Cargo’s Customer Service Center at 800-DLCARGO (800-352-2746) and ask the agent to note the booking as “Humanitarian Supplies” and use SCR code 9017.

For questions or further information, please contact your Delta account manager.
