Director - Atlanta Operations
Joe Miller, Director - Atlanta Operations, is responsible for the management and successful execution of Atlanta Cargo operations. Joe joined Delta Cargo (formerly Northwest Cargo) in 2007 as the manager of the Freighter fleet. In this role, Joe improved fleet reliability while serving as the technical liaison between Cargo, Engineering, Line Maintenance, and Base Maintenance. In 2008, he assumed responsibility for operations engineering, safety, compliance and education for the Cargo division.
Joe left Cargo in 2009 to manage the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance for Delta's Technical Operations division. From 2009 to 2012, Joe held roles of increasing responsibility within Technical Operations, most recently as the General Manager of Engine Maintenance Operations where he led a team of over 550 employees responsible for the disassembly, assembly and testing of six different powerplants and three different landing gear types. Prior to joining Cargo, Joe held various roles within Northwest Airlines, including Powerplant Engineering and Strategic Planning.
Joe holds an MBA from University of Saint Thomas and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He currently resides in Peachtree City, GA with his wife and four children.
